How to Reduce Inflammatory Disease With...

Being Healthy is Eating Healthy

The effects of chronic inflammatory diseases--lupus, rheumatoid arthritis--may be reduced by eating certain healthy foods.

A well-balanced diet is recommended to start.  Diets high in fatty fishes--salmon, mackerel, and tuna--and fish oils containing "omega-3" fatty acids are known to reduce inflammation. While 1-2 g per day of omega-3 intake is sufficient for heart protection, 2-3 g per day is most effective for anti-inflammatory treatment.

How to reduce stress

Green tea and green tea extracts offer antioxidant protection and can help reduce oxidative stress caused by inflammation.  Two cups per day is a reasonable way to start.
