Any dentist can advertise as being a cosmetic dentist, but that designation does not require any advanced training and is not recognized by the American Dental Association.  Certainly, there are many talented general dentists who provide highly esthetic treatment.  If you want a true specialist in cosmetic dentistry, see your board certified prosthodontist.
