African-American Cancers Decreasing

As reported in ChemotherapyAdvisor, research from CA: A Cancer Journal for Clinicians, African-Americans experienced decreases in cancer death rates from 2000 to 2009.

Researchers from the American Cancer Society still found that the five year relative survival rates were still lower for African-Americans than whites, at each stage of diagnosis.

More detailed information, including specific cancer types and speculation on the reasons for the differences, is available at www.chemotherapyadvisor.com
